Visit from The Glade Sexual Assault Referral Centre

On Tuesday 8th November, Lydia Johnson from The Glade came to chat to members about the services they offer. She talked for around 45 minutes and answered some questions services users had. She left us some cards and flyers and some people chatted to her again at the end in private.

The Glade is a place to go if you want to report a sexual assault but don't want to involve the police. It is open to both men and women. While located out at Bransford, it has a link to the Worcester Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre, amongst other organisations.

The Glade treats all people who come to the centre with dignity and respect. It has a helpline which is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. You can email the centre as well; emails are only monitored between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. All self referrals should be initially made via telephone - full address details of their centre will be given via telephone only. If you have suffered sexual abuse, please do not suffer in silence. There are people who can help you professionally and discreetly, without involving the police.
